  • 1. Upper BACK PANEL - 2 QTY
  • 2. Lower BACK PANEL - 2 QTY
  • 3. Upper FRONT PANEL – 1 QTY
  • 4. Lower FRONT PANEL - 1 QTY
  • 5. FRONT PANEL Trim - 1 QTY
  • 6. SLEEVE — 2 QTY
  • 7. Bridge — 1 QTY
  • 8. BACK PANEL neckline FACING - 2 QTY
  • 9. FRONT PANEL neckline FACING — 1 QTY

Sewing Instructions

  1. Fuse the neckline FACINGS.
  2. Stitch darts on the BACK PANEL pieces. Press darts towards the center seam. Stitch the upper and lower BACK PANELs. Press the seam downwards and serge. Serge the center edges of the BACK PANEL separately. Stitch the center edge from the ZIPPER NOTCH to the bottom. Insert the ZIPPER.
  3. Stitch darts on the FRONT PANEL pieces. On the upper FRONT PANELs, trim and serge the dart depth. Press darts towards the center of the FRONT PANEL.
  4. Finish the outer edge of the trim with BIAS BINDING. Place the trim on the FRONT PANEL right side up and secure along the neckline, armhole, side, and bottom edges. Stitch the upper and lower FRONT PANELs. Press SEAM ALLOWANCES downwards and serge.
  5. Stitch shoulder and side SEAM ALLOWANCES, press SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the BACK PANEL and serge.
  6. Fold the bridge in half and stitch the longitudinal edge. Turn the bridge right side out and press, centering the seam. Gather the trim piece as desired. Place the bridge wrong side up, aligning the bottom edge and the mark. Topstitch the bridge, securing the pleats. Fold the bridge upwards and align the top edge with the neckline edge.
  7. Stitch the shoulder SEAM ALLOWANCES of the FACINGS. Press SEAM ALLOWANCES open. Serge the outer edge of the FACINGS. Place the FACINGS on the neckline and stitch. Clip SEAM ALLOWANCES, turn the FACING to the wrong side and press. Secure the FACING to the shoulder SEAM ALLOWANCES with hand stitches. Secure the FACING to the ZIPPER tape.
  8. Serge the bottom SLEEVE SEAM ALLOWANCE, fold inwards and topstitch. Set the SLEEVE into the armhole.
  9. Cut (if not pre-made) BIAS BINDING 4 cm wide and a length equal to the armhole length + 5 cm. Fold the BIAS BINDING in half lengthwise right side out and press. Align the binding with the armhole edge on the right side and stitch. Clip SEAM ALLOWANCES. Fold the binding to the wrong side and topstitch along the fold to the main piece. Press the seam.
  10. Serge the hem SEAM ALLOWANCE of the dress, press to the wrong side and hem with blind stitches.
